Starting Something Good on Paper Since 2012
We’re all real people just trying to make a difference in our lives and the lives of others. Sometimes we need a little help with that. Sometimes our dreams are so big it’s hard to know where to start. Sometimes the journey is messy and we struggle to make sense of it. And sometimes (gloriously, thankfully!) we stop to look around and realize we’re doing okay at this. We’ve come a long way, even if we have more to go.
Rainbow Vision has been through many phases, growing from hand making cards in my spare bedroom, to illustrating hundreds of designs, and shipping well over 20,000 orders including our best selling Rainbow Vision planner. Known for our bold and psychedelic leaning designs the Rainbow Vision can be found in many beloved boutiques, bookstores, record stores, and general stores around the country. After about a year long hiatus due to some post-pandemic struggles, Rainbow Vision is back and ready to offer even more tools that foster creative development and personal growth.
When it comes to environmental stewardship, we are always working towards doing better. For us that means ethical material sourcing and production. While being "green" isn't always perfect, here are some ways that Rainbow Vision is attempting to lower our footprint:
- Every order plants a tree with One Tree Planted
- Planners and notebooks are made with 30% PC paper
- No plastic coatings on book covers so they can be 100% recyclable and biodegradable
- Envelopes and cards are produced in part with renewable energy methods
- Cellophane sleeves are made from plant based materials making them fully biodegradable
Since 1984, for better or worse, I have always been propelled by my creative urges. My creativity is my life force, my guiding light. I feel strongly that when we allow ourselves to follow our intuition, good things happen. Everyone has a creative drive and it's my goal to help people recognize their gifts, even if it's in a small way.
When I designed the Rainbow Vision planner it was mostly for myself. I'm a project hopper and an intense over thinker; I needed a planning tool that could keep me on track, but also support my need to keep dreaming. I've always loved searching for the best planner but have never felt there was one that understood my need for just enough organization and just enough space for personal interpretation. Thus, the Rainbow Vision planner was born! Everything from the prompts, to the layout, to the illustrations and sizing... everything is intentionally designed to be the exact planner of my dreams. It's this intersection of art making and organization where I thrive.
